Kalee 40 Carbon Arc Cinema Projector c1940

 About the Projector

This projector originally installed at "Victory" Cinema Oldham. Was the compact workhorse of its day. Sold as the Kalee 40 general assembly, it consisted of the forerunner of the GK18 open-mech with attached soundhead and a modified Vulcan/Commander motor feed lamphouse. Marketed as a ready to run package, the GK40 was most suited for small cinemas, hospitals and military halls. After the closure of the Victory Oldham, this machine was transferred to Odeon/Metro, Ashton-under-Lyne (Picture below).
